QUESCRAN Education & Vitality Forum
Description
The QUESCRAN Education & Vitality Forum was a significant milestone for Scattered, as we had the opportunity to present our work to a distinguished group of provincial officials, university principals, non-profit leaders, and school board executives. The two-day event provided a platform to discuss and advocate for the inclusion of neurodivergent individuals in the education system and to introduce Scattered as a transformative initiative that promotes mental wellness through creative expression.
Our presentation focused on the Headspace Method and the impact our workshops have had on various communities. We shared stories and data from our previous events, emphasizing how mindfulness and automatic writing can be powerful tools for emotional regulation and self-discovery, particularly for neurodivergent youth. Attendees were engaged and intrigued, asking insightful questions about how our methods could be integrated into school curricula or adapted for different age groups and neurodivergent profiles.
The forum was instrumental in expanding our network. We connected with key stakeholders who expressed interest in collaborating on future projects and exploring ways to bring our workshops to more schools and community centers. This event not only validated the work we’ve been doing but also opened the doors to numerous potential partnerships, setting the stage for Scattered’s growth and influence in the education sector.
